What Happens at the February Half Term Honey Harvest

Led by our expert Hiver Bee Team, children take part in a hands-on honey harvesting experience using real equipment. They’ll uncap wax from fresh honeycomb, spin the frames to extract raw honey, and even get a chance to taste honey straight from the hive.

While the honey is being extracted, they'll explore other hive by-products and make their own beeswax candle. The workshop ends with jarring and labelling their own pot of honey to take home — leaving as a certified honey harvester!

The workshop takes place in our Hiver Events Space, just a 10-minute walk from London Bridge, making it ideal for families looking for things to do with kids near London Bridge.
