February Half Term Workshop for Kids Near London Bridge
School holidays - a logistical nightmare? Or the perfect time to discover fun, educational experiences that get children learning beyond the classroom? Perhaps both!
You don't need to look any further for February half term activities in London, as our Honey Harvest Workshop offers kids the chance to learn about bees, explore nature, and make something BEElicious to take home — all just minutes from London Bridge.
Why Bees Make a Brilliant Half Term Topic
Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem, pollinating the plants we depend on for food and biodiversity - without them, we wouldn't be able to survive! Our workshop is a chance for children to learn why bees matter, how honey is made, and how humans can help protect pollinators in a fun, hands on way. The session is designed to be interactive, engaging, and accessible for children aged 7+, making it a great choice for parents looking for educational half term workshops for children. Plus it's really fun!
What Happens at the February Half Term Honey Harvest
Led by our expert Hiver Bee Team, children take part in a hands-on honey harvesting experience using real equipment. They’ll uncap wax from fresh honeycomb, spin the frames to extract raw honey, and even get a chance to taste honey straight from the hive.
While the honey is being extracted, they'll explore other hive by-products and make their own beeswax candle. The workshop ends with jarring and labelling their own pot of honey to take home — leaving as a certified honey harvester!

A Central London Half Term Activity Parents Will Love
The workshop takes place in our Hiver Events Space, just a 10-minute walk from London Bridge, making it ideal for families looking for things to do with kids near London Bridge. While children enjoy the session, parents are welcome to join in or relax next door in our Hiver Taproom with a coffee, beer, or wine, or use the space for quiet remote working.
