Our Founder
I’ve always been a fan of well-made beers and the fact that you can get some of the best beers in the world for less than the price of a bottle of wine.
I also love sustainable produce and the creative and hands-on process of developing a craft beer with a single hero ingredient and believe that small businesses can grow and do well by doing good.
What started with an idea to create a ‘proper’ honey beer lead to me starting Hiver in 2013 – just me, a few bottles of beer, a business card and a leap of faith. Over the past few years along with the highs and lows of trying to grow a small business and team, I realised that people loved not just the easy-drinking nature of Hiver but the things it stood for and the sustainable foundations I’d built into the business. And so the idea for Made of England came about, our marketplace for craft produce that we’ve developed according to our UK sourcing and sustainability policies and passion for fresh and natural British beers. I hope that you find something you love as much as I do.
